Salary: £24,684 – £26,520 DOE

18 Months FTC (with the potential to be made permanent)

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week Monday - Friday

You’ll be joining the Neighbourhoods Team in the South Manchester region and will be responsible for maximising income and providing a responsive customer service to ensure our clients neighbourhoods are clean, safe and sustainable. You’ll be provided with off the job training helping you secure Chartered Institute of Housing Membership as well as vocational training and coaching from their established Officers, Managers and their Training programmes.


Throughout your 18-month training programme you will be at the heart of their communities championing their customers’ needs taking ownership of a small patch of properties designed for you to have hands on experience of Neighbourhood Management. You will embrace their collaborative working style, learning from their other teams, helping to deliver a first class service on a range of tenancy management issues. Your effective communication skills and ability to understand with empathy the diverse needs of their customers will be key. As the Trainee Neighbourhood Officer, you will be suitably experienced, flexible and adaptable with strong problem solving skills, you’ll be highly motivated, innovative and driven to ensure their neighbourhoods are attractive places to live. You’ll also be team focused with the ability to communicate with colleagues, customers, partners and external agencies in line with their high performance culture.


Following successful completion of your 18-month training programme there will be the potential to move into a permanent Neighbourhood Officer role with a wider patch and greater responsibilities.


At the time of advertising, due to the current pandemic, our cleint’s front line teams are working from their own homes and their interactions with customers are through virtual means. They will continue to operate in this way until they are satisfied that the health, safety and wellbeing of their staff and customers can be guaranteed when visiting customers properties and returning to their head office in Stretford, Manchester.
