Huxley, part of the SThree group, are looking for a Help-desk Engineer to join one of their clients in an exciting new opportunity. If you can demonstrate experience in maintaining the network, server operating systems and end user computing environment, then you could be the Help-desk Engineer we are looking for.

What will you be doing?
As an Helpdesk Engineer, you will work in a team of fourteen who are responsible for looking after the trading, research and general computer environment. As well as working in a support position, you will also be involved in the design, build and upkeep of the end user computing environment and support the firms staff in their use of the computer systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Day-to-day maintenance and monitoring of various systems
  • Responsible for the daily operation of the JIRA support request system
  • Diagnosis and resolution of operational issues involving windows desktops; windows Servers; Linux work stations.
  • Writing and configuring automation tools that enable the team to work effectively to scale

What skills/experience should you have?

  • Experience in administrator level access to windows systems
  • PowerShell Scripting knowledge
  • Some familiarity with Linux command line, python and basic Cisco networking commands
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
