Caretaker / Handyperson
A fit and active individual required to help with general maintenance of buildings and grounds . The role involves working as part of a small team maintaining a large rural site . Basic maintenance skills are required to help fix day to day maintenance issues as they arise and assist external contractors as required. There are extensive grounds so a significant part of the role will also involve assisting with grounds maintenance. Experience of using power tools is an advantage. Hours of work are 8 am to 4.45 pm with 45 minute break Monday to Friday with the opportunity for weekend overtime. Ideally the successful applicant should live within a 20 minute radius of PE9 as it is envisaged that after a successful probationary period the role would involve an element of out of hours keyholding. With this in mind applicants should expect to be able to provide good recent references and an up to date DBS check will be a requirement on confirmation of appointment.
