We are looking for someone who wants a role that is as flexible as their lifestyle.
The role is working in a busy kitchen, which feeds our tenants plus their family and friends every meal time. The shifts are normally between 9:00am - 2:30pm, so it could be perfect for someone who is not able to work longer or evening shifts.The Extracare schemes provide a safe and homely place for older and vulnerable people to live as independently as possible. You will be the smiling face they see when they visit the dining room for a delicious and nutritious meal - and a good chat doesn't go amiss either! Meal times are important to our tenants, it's a time to relax and enjoy the company of other tenants, visitors and Linc Staff alike - after all, the fondest memories are made gathered around the table!
We'll give you all the training you need, so please don't be put off if you haven't had a role like this before.
You will have the opportunity to carry out a variety of kitchen duties from preparing vegetables to serving food and washing up - no two days will be the same.
If you work in a 'clean as you go' way, this role will be perfect for you! Keeping the kitchen, dining room and equipment sparkly clean is important, don't worry - we'll provide the marigolds!
