The Company is currently looking for a quick-thinking, methodical, Quality Engineer, to join their expanding Production team within their dynamic, high-tech and forward-thinking organisation.

You will be working closely with Production and Engineering teams with a primary function of ensuring product and process quality within the production environment. In supporting a high First Time Pass Yield, you will be focussed on both internal and supplier quality.

You will be working within the production team based at the Company's offices in Oxfordshire, but you should expect some travel to support PCB production and testing at suppliers and certification testing at third party test houses.

Key Features of the Role:

  • Focus on supplier quality, conducting goods in part inspections as required
  • Provide details for supplier returns
  • Build and test inspections, including final shipment checks
  • Initiate and/or support quality initiatives
  • Test concession management
  • Support driving First Time Pass Yield (FTPY) to hit company targets
  • Build revision management
  • Coordinate Engineering Changes and Manufacturing Deviations into production
  • Drive changes into quality processes including production route cards, inspection

points and documentation

  • Adhere to company and department processes
  • Contribute to continual improvement initiatives within the team

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience of radar technology is not necessary, as full product specific training will be provided.

You must have appropriate technical qualifications, including a solid background in quality assurance and ideally with experience of lean manufacturing techniques.

To fit into the environment, you will need to be an energetic individual who is used to consistently delivering high value work under pressure and a meticulous approach to detail and quality.

You must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with people at all levels within the business.

Salary will be competitive based on the type of role within the Thames Valley area.

Other benefits include a generous profit share bonus scheme and pension scheme. Holiday entitlement is 23 days plus bank holidays. After 2 years' service holidays increase by 1 day per year to a maximum of 5 additional days.
