Experienced Accounts Assistant required for a successful distribution company based in Hull to cover maternity leave so does require an immediate start. Due to the nature of the products supplied they have continued to trade during the pandemic and have seen an increase in sales and enquiries.

The main purpose of the role is to provide support to the Finance Manager:

* Updating weekly flash results information

* Bank Reconciliations

* Updating cashbooks daily - GBP, USD, EUR, IF

* Producing daily bank balance report for distribution to directors

* Monthly Invoice finance reconciliation

* Posting various monthly journals for accounts preparation (prepayments, accruals, petty cash etc)

* For Import suppliers - creating import files, processing landed costs, posting payments

* Maintaining analysis spreadsheets for monthly accounts to be issued to senior management.

* Raising supplier payments where required & allocating payments on purchase ledger

* Maintenance of fixed asset register

* Posting credit card statements

* Preparing and submitting intrastat information to HMRC

* Providing cover for other areas within the finance function as and when required and any other duties that may be required from time to time by the organisation

This search is not limited to any industry. Experience, attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team are key to this recruitment process;

* Previous experience is essential

* Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage

* You must be IT literate and competent in the use of Excel spreadsheets

* You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills

* You must be a self starter, proactive and able to work on your own initiative
