HGV Class 2 Driver

Vacancy - Full time permanent Class 2 driver (Rigid Curtain side vehicle)

Location - Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Industry - Timber and construction products

Hours - Monday to Friday (9 hour day including lunch hour)

Salary - circa GBP26K + bonuses

We are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver for a prestigious, long established client, based in the Hemel Hemstead area of Hertfordshire.

You will be responsible for delivering timber, panel products and other related items to various customers within approixmately 60 mile radius around the area.

Working as part of their Transport and Delivery team, driving a curtain side rigid 18 ton truck, your main duties will be delivering to building sites, trade centres and individual developments across the Country.

Outstanding Customer Service skills are essential as you will be dealing with clients on a regular basis.

Essential Requirements:

Valid UK driving licence

An up to date Digital Tacho

CPC Card

HGV Class 2 experience (minimum of 1 year) with curtain side and ratchet experience

Must be able to follow instructions and complete some paperwork

Be friendly, reliable and an excellent timekeeper

Have no more than 3 penalty points

Preferred Requirements:

Have a good working geographical knowledge surrounding the Hemel Hemstead area.

Previous experience working in a building materials supplier or similar
