Production Maintenance Engineer

My client, a leading manufacturing company based close to Bracknell are looking to recruit a Production Maintenance Technician on a full time, permanent basis.

We are looking for experienced Engineers with mechanical experience along with PLC knowledge /experience in terms of fault finding / problem solving. The role is approximately 50% mechanical and 50% PLC work.

Main responsibilities:

• Ensure all production machinery / equipment is maintained and ready to use as and when required.
• To ensure all production machinery / equipment is maintained meeting all Health & Safety requirements in line with HSE guidelines.
• Ensure all scheduled and preventative maintenance is in place for all equipment.
• Be involved with pre-production trials and advise on possible improvements to quality.
• Demonstrate a good level of problem-solving ability on production equipment.

Essential experience:

• Recognised qualification / degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

• Experience in maintaining automated assembly equipment.
• Experience working in a preventative maintenance environment.
• Experience with PLC fault finding / problem solving. Specific PLC training given.
• Have mechanical experience; servo motors, drives, belts, bearings etc.

Hours of work are 12 hours working on a mixture of days and nights. The shift is pre planned and you will know well in advance of your shift pattern. Typically, you will work 3-4 shifts per week which will include weekends when scheduled to work. So candidates must be flexible in their approach to work.

An attractive salary of GBP35-40k is on offer for the right candidate.
