As Commercial Controller you will help to manage and develop our M&S relationship delivering substantial and sustainable profitable sales growth through effective leadership.
Outline and create key account strategies designed to grow annual revenue which meets company/customer expectations
Identify and develop, in line with customer requirements, new business opportunities within the division and deliver through the facilitation of Joint Business Plans
Coordinate customer interfaces with key internal functions (Product Development, Technical, Operations, Finance and Planning) to ensure a consistent business approach
Engage with Marketing and PD teams and, in line with customer requirements, develop and deliver new/refreshed product ranges to market
Development of commercial structure to ensure future succession plans are in place for critical and key skill roles within the departmentJob DescriptionWe are a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK supplying all the major UK supermarkets. Here at Northampton, we have a team of around 2,700 colleagues. We are the sole supplier of sandwiches, wraps, baguettes, rolls, sushi, deli fillers and Caf?? toasties for Marks & Spencer. We also make a number of other product ranges for them such as salads. We are currently on an exciting cultural journey towards an unrivalled manufacturing environment.
What we're looking for
Broad knowledge of the convenience food market coupled with grocery retail or food manufacturing experience; M&S experience will be beneficial
Experience in a senior-level commercial role, preferably with own-label experience
Leadership skills and experience of managing teams of people
FMCG operational understanding and cross functional experience
Business and commercial acumen
