Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer required for a growing manufacturer in Hereford. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for providing support to the quality and operations department on all quality related functions, working closely with the operations and technical teams to achieve customer expectations, business objectives, mission, vision and values.

GBP25,000 - GBP30,000

The Role
Drive the reduction in internal defect rates through continuous improvement activities
Support the corrective and prevention action process in regards to customer complaints and internal issues
Support the management of the company's QMS in accordance with the requirements of ISO9001 and EMS in accordance wih the requirements of ISO14001
Support the new product introduction process including the generation of Sample and PPAP documentation
Conduct Internal audits as part of an audit team
Provide training on quality control
Lead continuous improvement activities

Requirements
Experience as a Quality Engineer or several years experience within a quality team for a manufacturing company
Internal auditor trained to ISO9001 and 14001
Knowledge of IATF16949 Quality Management Systems
Lean principles knowledge - six sigma green / black belt
Commutable to Hereford
