Process Engineer (12 month FTC)

Process Engineer - Surrey - GBP35,000-GBP42,000

A leading healthcare manufacturing organisation, are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their plant in Surrey, on a 12 month, fixed term basis.

The core function of the role will be to supply technical expertise, to support day to day manufacturing activities. The candidate will proactively manage risk in the manufacturing process and will deliver improvement projects.

The role holder will act as the subject matter expert to support delivery of medium to long term projects, identifying opportunities for process improvements for healthcare products.

Other duties include:

• Providing technical/process knowledge and expertise for quality events in all areas of manufacturing process
• Lead identification of root cause analysis and implementation of effective CAPAs
• Supporting Validation activities for commercial manufacturing, ensuring processes are maintained
• Investigating quality and complaints issues from customers
• Identify opportunities for process improvement
• Implementation of change controls for process or equipment changes within manufacturing

Candidates will need to be flexible to meet changing demands. You will also be confident to liaise with multiple departments and deliver tangible solutions to strict deadlines. You will have excellent root-cause analysis (RCA) skills and any experience working with 5whys or fishbone would be highly advantageous. Although experience with other methodologies (Kaizen, Lean, 6sigma) would also be sought after.

In order to be considered candidates will need to hold a relevant Degree in a Process or Mechanical Engineering discipline. Candidates must have worked in a similar role within a regulated manufacturing environment (Automotive/Food/Pharma).
