We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Manager to join our client based in Leeming Bar. Our client is a leading Food Manufacturer who are keen to appoint a Production Manager to join their Production team.
Job Title: Production Manager
Location: Leeming Bar
Salary: Competitive
Hours: Mon - Fri (5am to 2pm)
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Align the production teams with the site strategy and plan in order to deliver daily/weekly targets
- Oversee compliance with all Operational standards (health and safety, quality and food safety) and ensure that all Company Policy and procedures are followed.
- Communicate plan/objectives and work with the team to deliver.
- Co-ordinate the department shift activities i.e. start-up, shut-downs, breaks, changeovers etc ensuring that the department has the resources available
- Hold daily/weekly reviews
- Work effectively with other departments/functions ensuring all reporting is completed correctly and within timescales
- Maintain/improve hygiene, housekeeping, safety and work practices within department and challenge underperformance in a timely and constructive way
- Actively seek contributions from the department to enable performance improvement to create a better working environment holding
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to delegate effectively when required
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong planning and organisational skills, demonstrating flexibility towards changing business demands
- Proactive, dynamic and motivational with the ability to deliver results in a fast paced, pressurised environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to delegate effectively when required
- Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner
- Ability to communicate clearly with others in English including ability to write in English
- Ability to use a PC including word, email and in-house computer systems
