CNC Lathe Machinist
My client are a leader in their field, with an enviable customer base and a proven track record of delivering innovative and high quality processing machinery into a global market.
Having navigated the recent difficult times, they are seeing work and orders picking up, and as such they need to hire an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist, with a background in setting and operating lathes using Fanuc and Haas programming systems. Using your background in the precision engineering of materials including stainless steel and PTFE, you will be adept in producing quality parts to a fine tolerance which have been checked using engineering drawings and hand measuring equipment.
Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the factory production areas
- Work to, and use, modern manufacturing methods including Value Engineering
- Uphold the correct use and maintenance of equipment used on the shop floor
- Maintaining standards in hygiene, quality and performance
- Work to agreed schedules and to control the on time delivery of allocated jobs
Ideally you will have at least 3-5 years in CNC Lathe role, with strong working knowledge in setting and operating machinery using Fanuc and Haas systems. Programming skills would be preferred as this role is invariably considered a stand alone position, so being able to program the lathe based on drawings provided is key. Qualifications are ideally held in C&G/HND, or an accredited apprenticeship
