Graduate Landscape Designer

The perfect opportunity has become available for a graduate to join a highly established and professional organisation within landscaping and garden design. This role is ideal for candidates who have recently graduated in Landscape Design and is looking for their first position to gain hands on experience. You will become a vital part to the team, carrying out designs for multiple clients at a time and working alongside of designers to put ideas together.

Start: ASAP
Location: Outskirts of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:30pm
Salary: GBPNegotiable

An excellent opportunity to work alongside some of the leading designers with all new equipment and programs to enable to best designs for each and every client across the nation. This role offers an excellent progression route of becoming a Project Manager after learning all areas of the business and understanding all aspects of each projects.

Duties will include:

• Working on all stages of projects from start to finish
• Carrying out site visits
• Gathering all information from the clients in regard to their expectations
• Completing detailed designs using Sketchup, Photoshop and other drawing packages
• Understanding and be involved in the costings and budgets for each project
• Managing each project alongside the Project Manager
• Ensuring timescales are met
• Communicating with internal construction teams, clients and suppliers on a regular basis
• To be able to provide advice and knowledge on planting plans

Skills and Experience required:

• MUST have a degree in Landscape Design or similar
• MUST have proven knowledge of plants and planting plans
• Ability to produce designs on drawing packages such as CAD, Photoshop, Sketchup and other drawing programs
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Hard working and enthusiastic
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Self-motivated and willing to learn
• Full UK clean driving license
