Web Developer & SEO -Tamworth
Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP28,000 p.a. plus benefits
Our client is an established full-service marketing agency which this year is celebrating its 18th anniversary. It has a range of international and UK based B2B and B2C clients, ranging from SMEs to global multinationals, with specialist experience in the manufacturing, construction, consumer electronics and emergency services sectors.
With a 10-strong team of designers, developers and client services specialists, it now needs a web developer with technical SEO experience to design, code, modify and optimise websites, emails and Apps for existing and recent new client wins.
The Role
As a Web developer you will be working with the team of developers building high quality websites using best coding practises and methods. Along with web development your 35% time will be spent on implementing effective Search Engine Optimisation strategies for the clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop quality websites to design specifications that are mobile adaptive and functional across all modern web browsers
- Develop HTML based emails according to the requirement specifications
- Email management and deliverability troubleshooting
- Plan, develop and implement effective and successful SEO strategies
- Conduct adequate keyword, competitor and industry research to ensure successful SEO campaigns
- Plan the optimisation of website content, landing pages and ad copy
- Identify and fix technical SEO issues with client website
- Collect data and provide clients with monthly SEO reports of the progress of their digital marketing
- To keep abreast of SEO marketing trends
- Client communication, domain renewal management and basic server management
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Experience developing websites in popular content management systems and frameworks such as WordPress & Magento (1&2)
- The ability to create custom themes and plugins to meet client needs
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP
- Understanding of SEO and the requirements of websites to perform well on Google, both on page and off page
- Understanding of Google Ads including the planning and strategy of small to large scale Google Ads campaigns
