Starting salary of £24,484 per annum

Fixed-term contract until June 2023

As a result of critical work undertaken in supporting individuals with employment support, Cornwall Development Company is recruiting for the role of Change Coach within the successful Lizard Pathways team.

As well as the existing Work Routes and Positive People programmes, Lizard Pathways will soon be delivering on an exciting new ESF initiative called Health Works for Cornwall.

Lizard Pathways works to support individuals’ progression into sustainable employment for the economic wellbeing of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and thanks to investment from the European Social Fund (ESF) and Cornwall Council, this work is expanding.

We are recruiting Change Coaches that will join our team to provide direct Information Advice and Guidance support; identifying client goals and helping them to overcome barriers to employment or training.

Our Change Coaches deliver employment and skills support to engage the ‘hardest to reach’ disadvantaged individuals throughout Cornwall, who will have multiple barriers to engagement. The post holder will adopt outreach and innovative methods to support them. 

The post holders will also:

- Co-ordinate individualised packages of support to assist clients in order for them to progress towards and take up sustained employment
- Support clients into employment with monitoring and assistance to help with the retention of employment
- Deliver quality motivational, confidence building, employability and vocational skills training to groups of participants/trainees
- Identify health-related barriers and other factors affecting progressions and use skills and programme resources to overcome them
- Engage and work with employers to maximise job opportunities
- Work closely with other related funding initiatives aimed at supporting individuals into work or attaining higher skills (e.g. ESF Lottery)
