Requirements
The MARAC Co-Ordinator has a key role in delivering multi-agency responses to highest risk domestic abuse victims across Fife and ensuring effective communication between all parties attending MARAC.

MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferencing) aims to identify very high risk victims of domestic abuse and reduce the risk of further victimisation. The MARAC does this through:
  • Appropriate sharing of information across agencies
  • Producing multi-agency safety plans to reduce the risk to victims and any children
  • Sharing an awareness of risk posed by the perpetrator to the victim or third party

This post requires working closely with a range of multi-agency partners in the statutory and voluntary sectors at operational and strategic levels. This includes the co-ordination and liaison with the MARAC Chair to prepare for meetings, ensure effective information sharing with organisations and partners and co-ordinate and support MARAC training.

Establish effective information exchange with all parties from initial referral through MARAC case discussions to completion of agreed tasks.

Consult with partners, victim/survivors and the community

Develop and maintain appropriate administrative processes and adherence to the MARAC Information Sharing Protocol.

Maintain systems to collect and report on performance.

Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
The Individual
The candidate must have experience of working in the field of domestic and partnership working and have the necessary skills in effective communication and partnership working and be sensitive to the confidential nature of the work.
