CRA Legal are representing a multi-servicing law firm with an excellent local reputation. Our client is a market leader, and they're looking for an experienced Paralegal to join their Rotherham Office. The successful candidate will work as a Paralegal in a busy Child Care Team.
Role & Responsibilities:
Handling initial communications from clients in relation to care proceedings, safeguarding, child protection matters, child care disputes, child custody disputes, adoption matters and any other related query
Providing expert legal advice around child care legal matters
Liaising with stakeholders at all levels including solicitors, social workers, court officials, family members and opposing council
Overseeing a varied caseload, supporting senior fee earners
Taking statements and issuing proceedings
Preparing court bundles and sending applications to court
Providing comprehensive administrative support in a busy department
Handling any legal aid matters
Requirements:
A strong working knowledge of child care law
Experience working in Family, Child Care or Legal Aid is required
Degree educated is preferable
