The role is to work for a primary school which looks to make learning for the children exciting, whose staff are committed to providing the best for all their children and provide the opportunity for all children to achieve their full potential.

Your new role

In this role as School Office Manager you will be responsible for managing a busy administration team within the school. You will be providing leadership for the school administration team with an outstanding level of support to the rest of the school whilst reporting into Business Manager.

You will be responsible for the day to day supervision of all office staff and supporting the Business Manager where required. The role will involve overseeing all administrative work with regards to reception, data, financial, human resources, pastoral, attendance and curriculum. In regards to the finance side you will be managing the sales, purchase ledger accounts, processing orders, invoices and payments and creating payments on FMS.

The role will also involve responsibility for managing HR records for new staff, managing the school recruitment process, vetting procedures and managing staff records, obtaining references and booking training. You will also be liasing with external organisations as directed by the head, supporting the Head Teacher with communication to pupils, carers/parents and staff. Co-coordinating any administration tasks relating to school marketing and PR activities is also part of this role.

This is a very varied role with school experience being essential. The role is 37 hours per week between 8am and 4.30pm with a 4.00pm finish on a Friday

What you'll need to succeed

You will have experience of working within a school with experience of SMS and BCS systems and understand the school's financial systems either in a business manager role or finance.
