Taskmaster are proud to be working with our public sector client to recruit a Planning Manager on a permanent full time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of emergency preparedness, resilience and response planning, whilst being the first point of contact within the organisation providing advice, guidance training and support.
Key responsibilities of the role:
* Working closely with Heads of Service
* Ensuring that effective and up to date plans are in place to comply with national, regional and local guidance
* Ensuring the organisation meets its legal requirements
* Participating in system emergency planning meetings
* Developing and coordinating processes for resilience testing
* Responsible for maintaining up to date policies and guidelines
* Focusing on the co-ordination of COVID-19 reporting and learning, EU exit planning, situation reporting coordination and policy review
* Ensuring all key staff are consulted in preparation of plans and procedures
Person Specification
* Project management qualification or equivalent experience
* Previous experience in the public sector with some experience of emergency planning
* Excellent written/verbal communication skills
* Ability to adapt reporting to relevant audience
* Ability to assimilate information quickly and make reasoned judgements
* Understanding and experience of emergency planning/business continuity/risk management
