Location: Potters Bar, Hertfordshire

Type of Position: 15 month fixed term contract or secondment

What we are building
Working within the Investment Operations area of the European Investment Financial Services Dept which provides professional Investment Services to multiple clients with Assets under administration of approx GBP30bn.

Role Summary
Reporting into the Investment Operations Manager, the role is responsible for supervision of the UK Unit linked Pricing function ensuring the daily publication of accurate Investment fund prices is delivered in an efficient and timely manner in line with the ABI's guidelines for best practice.

Primary responsibilities will include, managing a team of administrators, ensuring accurate pricing through operation of detailed controls, principles and practices; providing quality administrative support to the Investment Front Office and managing an effective working relationship with the Company's custodian bank. The provision of consistent, professional quality services to clients in line with benchmarks per service level agreements, internal policies and external regulations is key to this role.

Success in the job will be evidenced by pro-active management of day to day operational performance and KPI's (eg. Timely Publication of Unit Prices, minimal business errors / Losses etc), key issues and risks, as well as contributions to Strategic Initiatives and Continuous Process Improvement.

Experience/Skills required
  • Significant relevant experience working within a unit pricing team either as a team leader or supervisor, or an experienced senior fund administrator looking to gain experience of leading a team.
  • Strong candidates from other investment back office backgrounds such as, but not limited to, Fund Accounting, Oversight, Taxation or Asset Servicing will be considered where there is experience or understanding of NAV calculations.

Essential Qualifications :
  • 5 GCSE's A-C including Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • IOC Exams (ACSI) or qualified by experience
  • Advanced Certificate in Operations (ACSI) or qualified by experience

We are looking for an individual with previous experience supervising a unit pricing team (or who is looking for the opportunity to gain the supervisory experience and/or has a strong foundation in fund pricing/NAV calculations) and excellent technical and regulatory knowledge of the Investment Industry.

This is a role that will require the ability to work flexibly, given the responsibilities bestowed to the job holder, in order to complete each day's unit pricing process without fail.
