Application & Systems Support Analyst

We're currently partnering with a public sector client who is recruiting for an Application & Systems Support Analyst. This is an interesting and varied role across application support for their business applications, support of their internal systems as well working with partners to improve the functionality of their systems with new developments and deployments.

Day to day duties will include (but not limited to):

• First contact systems support to internal users and stakeholders
• Writing basic codes to automate daily tasks
• Understanding and improving the use of the systems
• Work with the ICT team to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
• Play a part within the project life cycle to introduce new technologies and improve existing systems

Essential Experience:

• Proven track record within an Application/Systems or Bespoke Software support position
• Good SQL knowledge - able to write basic SQL scripts, queries and build reports
• Experience troubleshooting technical faults or bugs within applications
• Ability to work collaboratively with the internal teams and partners
• Keen eye for business systems improvements

The successful candidate must be able to adapt and learn quickly as this role will offer a steep learning curve initially. However, it is a fantastic opportunity to join a role with limited experience yet develop skills within systems support, Scripting, automation and web services.
