Sue Ross Legal are currently seeking a Criminal Defence Solicitor to join an upcoming firm of Solicitors based at their Birmingham office.
This role will see the successful candidate handling a varied and complex caseload consisting of:
• Serious fraud
• Bail applications
• Murder, drug and theft cases
Key responsibilities will include:
• Interviewing witnesses
• Drafting legal documents
• Liaising with various parties including CPS and Courts
• Police station interviews
• Representing in Magistrates Court
• Advocacy
The right candidate will be at least 3 years PQE, ambitious and willing to complete the Duty Solicitor qualification. (Although this is just a guide and candidates with more or less experience may be considered).
You will be a confident advocate and demonstrate the ability to deal with a range of clients at all levels. You will have excellent time management and organisational skills, being able to work effectively on your own as well as part of a team.
*Crime Duty accreditation & Higher Rights of Audience are beneficial yet not essential*
