Marketing Manager - Equities Trading

Role Profile

London Stock Exchange Group is a global markets infrastructure business. We provide valuable services for a wide range of customers, focusing on Capital Formation, Risk and Balance Sheet Management. The Group plays a vital economic and social role in enabling companies to access funds for growth and development. Our Secondary Market (trading) team provides efficient electronic platforms for secondary market trading of equities, bonds and derivatives. Its customers include banks and brokers from across the world.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for delivering marketing plans and activity, to support the commercial and strategic goals of the Secondary Markets Cash Team and Turquoise (Turquoise is a Pan-European multilateral trading facility, majority owned by London Stock Exchange Group).

The successful individual will work closely with the business teams to understand their needs, identify marketing opportunities and translate these into cross channel marketing campaigns and activations. Typical activities include industry sponsorships, events, creating digital content, developing sales support and thought leadership materials.

Key stakeholders for the role include senior leaders within the Secondary Markets business unit and the CEO of Turquoise Global Holdings.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Planning, Campaigns and Delivery

  • Work with the business teams to identify business priorities and translate these into marketing objectives and plans for the year
  • Develop, execute and evaluate cross channel marketing campaigns to support specific brand and commercial objectives
  • Ensure the website pages are kept up to date and optimised
  • Build and update sales support and informative materials such as factsheets, brochures and videos
  • Develop thought leadership materials, which position LSEG as a global markets specialist
  • Provide ad-hoc, proactive day to day marketing material in support of client relationship management; and
  • Understand trends and opportunities and landscape in order develop targeted marketing campaigns.
Branding
  • Seek opportunities to raise the profile and brand of London Stock Exchange Plc and Turquoise Global Holdings (Turquoise)
  • Ensure each brand is presented consistently and professionally across all marketing communications
Teamwork and Relationships
  • Develop a strong relationship with the business for Secondary Markets and Turquoise, to ensure sound understanding of the business and to ensure marketing is delivering against commercial objectives
  • Work closely with the rest of the Capital Markets Marketing team and find opportunities for collaboration
  • Develop good working relationships with other key internal teams including Press Office, Digital Marketing, Legal and Brand teams, coordinating with the Events team for customer events
  • Manage external agencies to ensure professional delivery of materials and value for money
  • For Turquoise Plato related activities, the Market Manager is expected to collaborate with Plato Partnership's external marketing firm, currently CICERO.
Manage Marketing Budgets:
  • Manage marketing budgets for Equities Trading London Stock Exchange and Turquoise, keeping an accurate record of expenditure
  • Provide budget summary on a quarterly basis to the relevant business area managers and raise POs and invoices for marketing activity
  • Manage subscriptions

Candidate Profile/Key Skills
  • Cross channel B2B Marketing expertise - (ideally with marketing qualification but not essential)
  • Financial services experience
  • Product knowledge an advantage
