Absolute is operating as a recruitment business for the supply of contract based opportunities.
Our customer is recruiting an interim HR Manager to cover maternity leave until the end of 2021.
Introduction
This is an internally-facing role, involving playing an integral part in employee relations and working at an operational level whilst driving business initiatives. In addition, it is to develop a strategic approach to human resource development and management to ensure the effective implementation of the HR strategy & operational plans.
It will be your role to provide support and guidance on all HR matters relating to the manufacturing site.
You will develop effective working relationships with MD's/GM's and the Senior Leadership Teams to enable a first-class HR service to be delivered on site.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
* In conjunction with the HRBP & HRVP, develop and implement People Plans in line with business needs
* Provide HR guidance, support and expertise to all sites for all HR activity, including legislative employment changes, corporate HR policy, contractual terms & conditions and employee benefits
* Support line managers with disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management cases and ensure all paperwork is completed within a reasonable timeframe and within the required legal framework
* Assist HRD to support all major employee change programmes and other ad hoc projects when required
* Provide guidance and support with employee welfare issues and management of occupational health service
Recruitment & Selection
* Ensure the delivery of site HR programmes and initiatives
* Provide Support to other HR colleagues within the organisation
* Organise and manage all aspects of family friendly processes including maternity, paternity, adoption, parental and unpaid leave and flexible working
* Conduct employee inductions for all new starters
Performance/Talent Management
* Provide leadership on the implementation of the Group-wide talent management programme and ensure appropriate plans are developed and implemented
* Provide guidance to line managers to ensure all employees receive a quality Performance Development Review
* Identify training requirements and incorporate into the training plan
* Support with organising the annual PDR process, talent calibration reviews and rollout of Management Standards
Employee Relations
* Manage employee relations on site through appropriate body i.e. employee forum or Union.
* Support Line Manager will all Employee relation issues to resolve all matters within the legal framework and desired timescales
Communication
* Manages HR relationships with third parties
Manage relationships with internal HR colleagues effectively to ensure HR team is effective
* Lead discussion with Employee Forum
* Manage relationship with line managers and employees to ensure sites are fully engaged
Compliance
* Monitors compliance with all key HR policies and processes
* Recommends corrective actions for non-compliance to HR Business Partner
* Compliance for all temporary workers on sites under their responsibility
Keeps abreast of changes in HR and employment legislation
Additional
Provide support and guidance to Managers on HR and organisation development issues
Manage the annual training and development plan and budget and ensure that evaluation of training is carried out and reviewed
Support the company in meeting its H&S requirements and help to drive health & safety throughout the company
Responsible for the development of the HR team including appraisals & monitoring training plans.
To identify & drive continuous improvements within the Human Resource area
To be responsible for co-ordinating with senior level recruitment
To monitor and advise on absence management
To offer employee counselling & support where appropriate
