The Department of Engineering and Science are looking to recruit an Instructor Assessor in Mechanical Maintenance.

The Role
This new role will be workshop based and will deliver SVQ and project based practical learning along with the supporting underpinning knowledge. The role will include working with a range of students from different industries as well as full time students. While the role will be predominantly based in Falkirk there may be a need to travel to other sites to deliver instruction or assess, therefore a driving licence is essential. You will be a qualified Mechanical Fitter /Maintenance Technician and have relevant work experience in mechanical maintenance. You will have a breadth of industrial experience in the subject area, while you may not have any instruction experience in a formal college setting, you may have worked with apprentices and contributed to their development and job knowledge. We are looking for an individual with a passion for their field and a desire to work with apprentices as they start out on their chosen career path. An assessor /verification qualification is desirable but not essential, though there will be opportunity for you to work towards these qualifications. Together with excellent presentation and communication skills you will have knowledge and understanding of vocational qualifications.
