The company
We are seeking a talented individual to work for a family business which is a leading supplier of a wide selection of fresh, high-quality and delicious products.
The job
This brand new role has been newly created due to the ongoing growth and success of the business.
As Quality Auditor, you will ensure the quality of products right at the start of the whole process, inspecting consignments as they arrive at Goods In. Following on from this, you will ensure products are handled, rotated, and managed through the production processes, so that quality and safety remains at the highest level.
The role is based in both the office and within the packhouse. Other typical duties will include:
* Ensure any non-conformances are documented and reported
* Monitoring hygiene and ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP and quality policies
* Perform internal audits according to agreed schedule and ensure any non-conformances are documented and signed-off upon completion of corrective actions
* Ensure staff adhere to personal hygiene and quality management system procedures
This role also offers excellent scope for progression. As the business moves forward there will be opportunity for you to be trained and start taking responsibility for a share of the Technical Manager's duties.
Your experience
To be considered for the Quality Auditor role, you will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science related subject and have experience working in a food quality assurance role. Either from a university placement or full-time role.
A background of working with fresh produce will also be a great advantage.
You will be dedicated, love to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent organisation skills. Additional food QA related qualifications such as Food Hygiene, HACCP or Food Safety would be an advantage.
A driving licence and own transport will be needed due to the site location.
