SEN Primary Teacher
Hastings, East Sussex
Supply Desk are currently recruiting for a SEN Teacher to work with primary students - KS1-2 in this SEN school near Hastings, East Sussex. This role will be to start in October 2020.
About the Role:
The role will be to teach the UK KS1 - 2 National Curriculum to students with Social, Emotional, Metal Heath (SEMH). There will be support staff in the class with you and there are only 6-8 children in the class. You must have taught the KS1 and KS2 curriculum this can be either an SEN school or mainstream school. All of the students at this SEN school arrive with a statement of SEN known as an Education Care Plan. The role is full-time, long term position.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years' experience in a classroom environment. You will also need to have the following:
Strong track record of raising levels of achievement and motivation
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS
Excellent behaviour management skills
Be able to build positive relationships with young people and staff
Team Teach or similar restraint training certificate
Good knowledge/experience working with children with students with Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties within an SEN environment
Be able to teach KS1 and KS2 curriculum
Be able to work well as a team
Have a big personality!
A valid DBS (preferably on update service)
The right to work in the UK
A minimum of two references
