An innovative British manufacturer is seeking a Production Assistant to complement their successful manufacturing team. Priding themselves on innovation and full life cycle from design to delivery to their global customers, the company supplies the aerospace, marine and construction industry sectors and uses the very latest cutting-edge technology.


Reporting to the Production Control Manager, your main focus will be organising and managing the purchasing of stock and non-stock components as well as assisting with organising sub-contract work and managing production jobs - with a specific focus on developing effective relationships with your suppliers and contractors as well as key personnel within the company.


Key responsibilities and requirements include:

?? Assisting with processing stock purchase order requirements and changes of all associated documents

?? Following up suppliers to confirm orders and chasing overdue items, ensuring the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is kept updated

?? Purchasing of consumable and non-inventory parts

?? Release and issue of manufacturing jobs to the shop floor

?? Checking and closing completed jobs

?? Assisting with managing the sub-contract processes required

?? Completing all associated documentation to ensure compliance with ISO9001 procedures

?? Assisting with the identification of, and resolution to, production issues


You will be educated to GCSE or equivalent level, have good written and oral communication skills, be pro-active, have good attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure.
