Cross Resourcing are delighted to be partnering with a leading professional services organisation based in central Edinburgh to recruit an Application Support Analyst to join their growing IT team.
This is a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced candidate to join a leading, award winning organisation.
We are looking to speak to candidates keen to develop their career. You will be responsible for maintenance, support, management and analysis of my client's core platforms whilst assisting in the installation and maintenance of all hardware and software infrastructure.
What you'll do
* Maintain and support the business core platforms
* Investigate and resolve all faults with platforms
* Gather requirements, reviewing and carrying out all change requests
* Plan and execute system testing, including bug fixes and enhancements
* Plan deployments ensuring implementation is to time scales
* Generate SQL scripts for reporting
* Provide Ad Hoc service desk cover
* Update and maintain all documentation to include how-to guides and contract records
What you'll need
* Solid working knowledge of SQL script and PL/SQL programmes
* Knowledge of financial systems and core processes
* Experience in developing reports and admin of Oracle
* Knowledge and experience of web technologies such as JavaScript, ReST, XML and HTML
* Proven experience of performing application enhancements in an Agile environment
* Knowledge of new technologies and a willingness to learn and develop
* Excellent stakeholder management skills
* Strong computing skills with excellent understanding of Microsoft Office
* Analytical mindset and a strong problem solver
* The ability to work on a number of projects at any time
* Excellent communication skills both written and oral
