This Company is an established Market leading manufacturer in prefabricated homes and has experienced growth in the UK marketplace. They design and manufacture state of the art, quality homes.
Job Description
Reporting to the Technical Manager and working in the Cad Design team, you will need an understanding of design for manufacture (DFM) as well as a keen eye for detail. The role will involve creating detailed special planning plus joinery and plumbing drawings in 2D Autocad. You will liaise with clients and suppliers and provide costings, BOM's and manufacturing documentation for the shop floor. This role will also involve assessing cost wastage and process control.
Communication skills will be essential to be able to communicate with other departments such as sales and the factory. This role would suit a candidate who has an up to date knowledge of current building materials and familiarity with Building Regulations, although this is not essential as each application will be measured on merit.
Key skills
• AutoCAD - Including 2D Space planning
• Manufacturing Experience (DFM, DFA)
• Produce concise technical drawings
• Able to work on multiple projects
• BOM knowledge
Secondary skills
• Product or Furniture design
• CNC Knowledge
• Costing experience
