We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Designer to join the Creative Service team. This role will be responsible for producing and overseeing print and digital creative solutions across the Royal Mint ensuring their design team promote our brand through delivering high quality pieces on tight deadlines. This role will take the lead on driving key projects and support the Creative Services Manager in leading, inspiring and managing people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage graphic designs from conception to delivery.
- Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics.
- Take the lead on review graphic designers' work to ensure high quality, refining images, fonts and layouts using graphic design software Manage a team of junior designers to ensure all work produced meets client briefs
- Generate ideas to portray concepts and advertise products/services whilst maintain brand consistency throughout all our marketing projects.
- A passion for and knowledge of technology and creative culture. Staying up-to-date with industry developments and tools
- Take overall responsibility for all on and offline work produced for all clients, including email templates, banners, brochures, leaflets and website mock-ups
- Project manage all design assignments, liaise with Studio, marketing and design teams to ensure deadlines are met, ensuring all work is to budget and to a high standard
- Ensure all design work produced to promote The Royal Mint Creative Services team is on-brand and meets the brand guidelines
- Help to source and manage freelancers and agencies when required
- Work with internal teams to generate ideas for pitching and proposals
- Oversee consistently incredible creative output and art working, with the ability to be able to produce ex-pert, pixel-perfect work
- Inspire and support the junior designer team
Candidate requirements:
- Extensive experience within a creative design role, having previously generated effective creative campaign ideas with supportive graphics, whilst using outstanding creative designs, layouts and graphics
- Highly experienced with an intimate understanding of design, art working, print and digital using appropriate software including all Adobe Creative design packages, Microsoft packages plus hand drawing skills.
- Excellent project management skills
- A passion for creating stunning visuals which match the client brief and help to deliver ROI and brand engagement
- As well as traditional print and digital commercial experience, motion graphics, animation would be great along with a skillset that would include after effects.
- Generating fresh concepts.
- Proven experience of delivering commercial messages on multiple campaigns throughout the year. Working with copy team for campaign, marketing online and offline and knowledge of event as well as video production
- Build agency relationships for a wide range of specialist and ad hoc projects. Experience of liaising with a third party agencies and freelancers
- Organised, commercially-minded and a team player, you will bring a new set of ideas and skills to the team, and won't be afraid to put your opinions and ideas forward.
