An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join this Legal 500 firm with multiple offices and a strong presence regionally. This is a rare opportunity to work alongside Solicitors who are recognised for their high quality of work.
Areas of focus will include:
Residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes
Construction disputes
Co-owner disputes
Boundary disputes with a neighbour
Disagreements over a right of way or easement
Trespass on land
A party wall dispute under the Party Wall Act 1996
Duties will include:
Managing own caseload of a variety of contentious matters.
Acting for a broad range of clients from Property Developers and Commercial Landlords to government departments, local authorities, and retailers.
Managing most of the procedure from instruction through to settlement.
Providing a responsive service, giving clear and concise legal advice.
Experience of taking matters to court is beneficial, but not essential.
Attend to clients of the firm on a regular basis.
Be actively involved in the marketing and business development of the team and wider firm.
Maintaining continuing professional development requirements and taking an active interest in furthering knowledge within litigation.
To regularly attend and be involved in preparation for team meetings.
Desirable Skills:
A good honours degree followed by LPC, training contract and PSC / or a good honours degree with CILEX to Fellow level, LPC and PSC and admitted by SRA as a solicitor
Have previous fee earning experience within Property Litigation essential
A following is desirable, but not essential
To have had previous client contact and attendance at business development events
