We are looking for a Senior Technical Sales Engineer to join our organisation. You will be based in Sittingbourne. Our main markets include food and pharmaceutical capital equipment.
BASIC SALARY: Up to GBP45,000

The position of Senior Technical Sales Engineer / Internal Sales Manager is a key role within the sales and marketing team, mentoring the technical sales team to provide customers and prospects with the correct technical options for their applications.
Working closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager the Senior Technical Sales Engineer role manages all technical matters, specifications and new products, representing the company within the wider technical sales group of companies and liaising on the technical aspects of commercial and marketing matters related to the sale and marketing of products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Senior Technical Sales Engineer / Internal Sales Manager / Technical Sales Manager : Capital Equipment - Food / Pharmaceutical
?? Leading, mentoring, and supporting the technical sales team to deal with customers' enquiries, projects, complaints, and technical questions efficiently and effectively, ensuring each team member can develop their own capabilities.
?? Provide technical support, training, and advice to colleagues in production, technical/design, sales and marketing and other Wire Belt Group companies
?? Design, implement and deliver assigned projects to the Technical Sales Team within an agreed time scale.
?? Report on technical sales activity, constantly seek out new opportunities to increase sales and develop new and improved Wire Belt products that generate additional profitable business. Present the relevant sales input for product improvement and innovation at the Wire Belt Group product specification meetings.
?? Organisational and multi-tasking skills are important in this growing and demanding business, and there are many calls upon this role. The candidate will be required to build and implement training programmes that can be rolled out internally and externally to our partners.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Senior Technical Sales Engineer / Internal Sales Manager/ Technical Sales Manager : Capital Equipment - Food / Pharmaceutical
?? Strong technical knowledge and expertise combined with commercial orientation is required and the candidate should demonstrate a professional approach to customers on site or within an office environment.
?? A degree in Mechanical Engineering
?? Experience in the food processing sector or similar
?? Have headed a team of technical sales engineers (or can demonstrate team leadership)
?? Well organised and able to demonstrate multi discipline skills
