Sort Line Operative Team Leader

We are currently looking for candidates for Sort Line Operative - Team Leader position to work with our client, who is a Waste Management specialist, based in the Leicester area.

You will start as a picker to understand all the rules and site, after that we will be provided full training for team leader position.

As a Sort Line Operative, you will be responsible for :

- Picking at defined rates selective materials from a moving conveyor

- Ensuring quality and recovery rates are maximised

- Housekeeping of the operator cabins and the facility in general

- Operator maintenance of parts of the plant

- General duties throughout the facility

As s Team Leader, you will responsible for :

- To follow Health & Safety Policies & Guidelines of Client & Company

- Monitor and ensure PPE compliance

- Provide a high level of communication with Client shift leaders to ensure that key instructions are understood and carried out;

- Monitor staff performance to seek improvement; Motivating the team to reach daily KPI's;

- Induct & train new staff members, ensure understanding of expectations

- Conduct regular pick checks on all sort line operatives.

- Communicate ideas and key points/issues during handovers;

- Ensure all near misses & accidents are reported correctly

- Ensure staff sign in / sign out without fail each shift

- Manage and deal with 'no shows';

- Ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained in all working areas of the picking station and the site.

Pay rate

GBP9.00 till GBP11.39
