Robotics Programmer Control Systems Engineer

My client is a specialist in packaging and process machinery applications used across a variety of industry sectors including Food & Beverage, Chemical and Agriculture. My client is looking to expand in the next 12-24 months due to a large number of projects, and are now seeking a Robot Programming/Control Systems Engineer to join their team.

In order to fulfil this role, you would be required to relocate to beautiful mid-Wales. The opportunity itself also allows you to travel the globe working on projects in the USA and Europe.

Desired Skills:

• Candidates must have the ability to create and modify programmes using relevant software for packaging and automation projects, including PLC/HMI programming.
• Experience of robot programming essential. Proficiency with ABB IRC5/S4C+ programming desirable.
• Previous use of off Line-robot Programs using robot OLP software packages such as Robot Studio
• Testing of programme philosophy prior to machinery dispatch to ensure successful commissioning based on customer requirements.
• Train operators on site with use of machinery following installation.
• Effective team working skills in order to work alongside Project Manager, Compliance officer, Mechanical engineers and electricians to deliver the project as per customer specification.

Desired Skills:

• HND/Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Software Engineering or equivalent experience favourable
• Desirable candidates would have prior experience working with ABB robots, possess accredited training certs, and Siemens PLCs
