Individual Giving Fundraising Manager
Job Reports to: Head of Fundraising
Direct Reports: None
Salary band: GBP27k - GBP30k (based on 40 hr week)
Part-time (min 24 hours per week). Based at the Charity offices at Walton Lodge, Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP21 7QY, with home working available.
Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity Mission
FNHC is an income generating organisation whose purpose is to fund the provision of Palliative and End of Life Care. This service is provided by Florence Nightingale Hospice, both in their building at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and in the community in Buckinghamshire and parts of Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire. The Charity takes a dynamic approach in order to meet the evolving needs of our patients by supporting and funding new services, improving patient and family experience through upgrades to the hospice environment and the provision of specialist equipment. The Charity is also committed to funding the professional development of hospice staff and volunteers.
Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to develop an individual giving programme for Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity.
Key Accountabilities
Staff and volunteers
  • To build good working relationships across the charity, with charity volunteers and ambassadors
Individual Giving
  • To develop an integrated individual giving at Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity
  • To deliver at least three postal appeals a year, supplemented by one-off postal appeals and online appeals
  • To work with other areas of fundraising to develop supporter journeys which identify opportunities to promote individual giving
  • To co-ordinate marketing activity across the fundraising department and be the main liaison with the marketing team. To also provide advice and input into marketing output generated by fundraising
  • To liaise with the central administrative team to ensure high levels of supporter care for all areas of fundraising
  • To be the database and GDPR 'lead' within fundraising
  • To develop and maintain a gift aid optimisation programme
  • To contribute generously and effectively outside of the core role.To evaluate activities so we can learn from experience
Financial and finance admin
  • Responsible for financial targets within this area of responsibility
  • To ensure expenditure is controlled in line with the annual budget
Personal/professional
  • To operate within charity law and data protection legislation and comply with the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Practic e
  • Be willing to work outside normal office hours (time off in lieu can be claimed) and to perform additio nal duties as and when required
  • Maintain and improve professional competence by attending meetings and training sessions and conferences as and when required
  • Demonstrate ongoing personal and professional development in accordance with the charity's performance management framework
  • Safeguard the Charity's reputation and integrity through an awareness and understanding of FNHC brand. At all times, represent FNHC in a professional manner that engenders trust and loyalty, making the most of any appropriate opportunity to ma ximize awareness of the charity
  • Work positively and collaboratively with all FNHC co lleagues (staff and volunteers)
  • Comply with all FNHC policies and procedures
