JOB- Product Engineer (NPI)

LOCATION- Torquay

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- GBP35,000 - GBP40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a NPI Product Engineer on a permanent basis in the Torquay area with experience in the electronics and assembly manufacturing industry. You will be accountable for NPI projects following the NPI process, product design and process design whilst supporting other areas of the business.

The Product Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

5 years' experience within the Electronics and assembly manufacture
A background in fibre optics and photonics is desirable
Understanding of project management methods and tools
Understand business tools such as MRP/ERP, NPI, Engineering change and modelling software
Engineering or Science based degree
Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
Good problem-solving skills
Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team
Innovative, creative and good leadership qualities
The Product Engineer role will involve:

Deliver robust designs and processes to Manufacturing
Appropriate deployment of NPI Processes meeting all design milestone objectives
Drive and report on all assigned projects using Gantt charts and action list etc
Assist in establishing new manufacturing standards, monitoring performance & analysing data
Correct classification and distribution of Product configurations including BOM's
Understanding of NPI objectives & timelines for deadlines for new products
