PHP/Laravel Full-Stack Developer
Location: Must live in close proximity to Leeds although remote working available.
Salary GBP40,000 p.a.
Our client is a professional research company with their Head office in London and several offices across the UK. They are looking for a Full Stack Laravel Developer to work as part of their IT team, which currently consists of the IT Manager, a Senior Web Developer, a Web Developer and First Line Support.
You will be responsible for building, developing, and improving the company's in-house bespoke CMS/CRM system. The role is completely hands-on, writing well-formatted code while working within our development methodologies. You will be a key contributor and work closely with the other members of our technology team.
Alongside strong PHP and Laravel Full Stack development experience you must have:-
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to cope under pressure.
* Ability to work independently and organise own workload.
* Good attention to detail.
* Reliable, flexible and adaptable.
* A passion for delivering high-quality, well-tested code and for hands-on coding.
* Good problem solving skills.
* Demonstrable experience in building dynamic applications.
* Ability and willingness evaluate other developers coding.
* A willingness to learn the latest web technologies.
* You care about the business implications of anything you build.

Skills Requirements:
* Experience of all aspects of web development including Laravel, PHP, MySQL, RESTful APIs, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and Bootstrap.
* Experience with the standard LAMP/LEMP stack.
* Practical experience with Object-Oriented PHP (>= 5.3).
* Demonstrable experience writing, and debugging, queries in MySQL.
* Practical understanding of content management systems.
* Experience building WordPress plugins (desirable)
* Able to plan, develop and implement new technical solutions.
* Able to maintain and improve existing applications.
* MVC frameworks - Experience with Laravel essential.
* Source control systems such as GIT.
* SSH and Shell.
* Knowledge of AWS or other well known hosting services
