CMS Window Systems is an industry leading building envelope contractor specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of PVCu and aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling systems.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based at our Head Office in Castlecary, Cumbernauld. Working as part of a large QS team, you will commercially control and manage all costs and billing applications relating to our PVCu Window Systems projects, from the initial order through to the final account. You will cover a range of sectors including commercial, social housing and new build.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Managing and producing tender and contract negotiation documents, including bills of quantities and specifications.

* Monthly reporting on actual v budgeted costs and any variances.

* Preparing phased values for each assigned project.

* Working with Project Managers to control and manage all costs relating to projects.

* Reviewing construction issue drawings and specifications against tender documentation.

* Reviewing subcontractor quotes and authorising subcontractors' orders.

* Preparing phased values for assigned projects.

* Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks.

* Identifying and securing reimbursement of variations to the contracted scope of works and ensuring inclusion in applications for payment.

The ideal candidate will be:

* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.

* An experienced Quantity Surveyor with 8+ years' experience ideally in a construction / manufacturing environment.

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft systems with Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

* Able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and numerical skills.
