Fabriweld Ltd is an international design and manufacturing company providing high quality steel, aluminium and polymer product solutions to AV, healthcare and corporate furniture as well as new exciting markets such as kiosks and display units. Due to exciting growth, including the development of our own brand, an opportunity has arisen for a Production Supervisor to help with our exciting growth plans, developing a second shift in sections of the factory as well as supporting new products going into the market.
Production Supervisor
The Area Supervisor will be responsible for leading, motivating and developing a multi-skilled team to optimise the performance of the Powder Coating, Assembly, Packing and Despatch functions and therefore exceeding customer expectations. Outstanding operational leadership with energy, commitment, drive, adaptability, creativity, problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
key role and responsibilities
* Promoting the highest Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe working environ-ment, including performing monthly audits and risk assessments.
* Working with the factory management team to ensure development, promotion and im-plementation of Company, Factory and Team plans.
* Management, motivation and structured development of the team through performance review and training roll out.
* The development, collection and analysis of production and process data and its effec-tive use to develop and achieve key targets and objectives.
* The implementation and development of 5S within the area's of responsibility in the fac-tory environment.
* Managing the production processes, monitoring and improving workflows where applicable, to ensure that all factory KPI's are met or surpassed.
* Review production schedules, ensuring all BOM's will be present and correct, raising or-ders in as required, liaising with colleagues to ensure customer orders are delivered OTIF.
* Identifying opportunities for standardisation of operations to simplify knowledge require-ments.
* Liaising with Sales / Production / Purchasing colleagues to prioritise work to match produc-tion requirements.
* Clear communication with relevant team members, updating on progress / issues
Minimum requirements:
* Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, CI experience would be a distinct advantage, as would experience of ISO (Apply online only) quality management systems.
* Positive, can do attitude, change agent who enjoys working as part of an Operations Team.
The Company is based on the Lenton industrial estate, Nottingham pay is GBP24,000 - GBP28,000 per annum depending on experience, standard hours are 07.30 till 4pm, OT also available. Weekly timekeeping bonus, quarterly attendance bonus.
