Our client is seeking a Digital Services Officer on an initial 3 Month contract with the possibility of an extension.
Working Hours and Pay Rate:
Monday - Friday, 09;00 - 17;00. At a pay rate of GBP13.21 Per Hour
Job Purpose:
To support the maintenance, administration and improvement of the West Berkshire Council website and other information systems. To lead on writing and reviewing online content, giving advice on its creation with respect to best practice by ensuring it is accurate, professional and customer-focused.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the optimal architecture of digital information and services.
Be responsible for responding to or redirecting customer feedback submitted online, and work with the relevant service delivery teams to make any necessary amendments to website content.
Contribute to, and where appropriate, lead on the creation of content for new websites, interactive pages and functionality for the delivery of digital council services.
Support the creation of events, room and officer time bookings in the council's booking system.
Help promote, and seek feedback on the council's digital services and the work of the Digital Services team, through the team's blog, and other digital collaboration tools and by testing it directly with service users.
Collaborate, seek guidance and offer advice to peers, both online by using social and enterprise media tools, and offline by attending events, conferences and camps where appropriate.Skills and Experience:
Experience in the creation and management of content for websites
Experience in using Google Analytics to monitor, interpret, report upon and improve website performance.
Experience in using a corporate bookings system
A basic understanding of HTML, CSS and other client-side code
Experience building online forms
