About the Role

We have a new exciting opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join our successful and established Personal Injury team, based in central Oxford.

Our Personal Injury department specialises in all types of personal injury claims, from catastrophic brain and spinal injuries and fatality claims to MoJ Portal claims. As a Paralegal you will be an important link between the client and the firm, having some responsibility for aspects of file management, under supervision

Paralegal Duties will include:

* Manage aspects of files managed by qualified lawyers and undertake routine legal tasks, under supervision

* Under take legal processes, under supervision.

* Draft legal documents using appropriate precedents and templates which address all relevant legal and factual issues and accurately reflect the client's instructions

* Undertake effective legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results accurately and clearly

* Provide support for business development and marketing activities including preparing and researching marketing materials and writing articles and blogs where requested

* Attend Royds Withy King BD events where appropriate to provide support and to build a network of business and client relationships

* Take an active part in promoting the firm through Social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook

* Provide legal support to designated fee earners and act as a legal resource for the wider team, providing help where required

* Ensure all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, including effective use of information management systems including storing and retrieving information

* Time record all work

About You

Paralegal Skills & Experience:

* Legal qualifications (LLB, LPC or CILEx) is desirable

* Enthusiasm and desire to learn about Personal Injury. Academic study and practical experience of this area of law is highly desirable

* Previous experience within a Paralegal role in a legal environment and in Personal Injury

* Excellent organisational capability with excellent attention to detail

* Client service focused

* Ability to undertake legal work under supervision
