A large, West-Midlands based housing association is recruiting for a Housing Support Advisor to join their Foyer in Hereford and deliver an excellent standard of support and housing management to young people (16-25) helping them to sustain a tenancy and maintain independent living. This will also include some cover work in Leominster and Ross-on-Wye.

The Role
The focus of the role is support young people in terms of tenancy sustainment and independent living. This will include:
*Porividing support to young people in the Foyer and community
*Carrying out Key Work Sessions; providing regular practical support to achieve goals and outcomes
*Deliver group sessions to increase life skills for residents - cooking, budgeting, health and wellbeing etc
*Sign-posting to support agencies
*Completing support plans and risk assessments, meeting aspirations and objectives of the young persons and supporting them to meet these goals
*Contribute to service development
*Refer to relevant agencies were appropriate
*Manage voids in accordance with voids and allocation procedures
*Maintain electronic and written records
*Complete tenancy inductions for new residents and ensure new residents understand their license agreements
*Maintain regular contact with residents to ensure effective tenancy management

The Candidate
To be considered for these roles, you will require previous experience providing supported housing support, including tenancy management, to young people.
As the role is covering Hereford, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye, it is essential that you have access to a vehicle for work.
Due to the vulnerable nature of the service users that you will be working with, you will require a DBS for this role, so if you have a DBS on the update service, as well as the relevant experience, this will be beneficial to your application.

The Contract
This is a part time position working 22 hours per week (Monday to Wednesday), working one weekend in four. The hours will be mostly 9-5 with one late shift (12-8) every fortnight.
The role will be on an initial 4 month contract, but this is likely to be extended.
