Planning and Design
We have an incredible opportunity for individuals to begin a new career with BT Open Reach, the largest provider of networks and fibre optics in the UK. Open Reach are currently growing their team within the Planning and Design division and are looking for driven individuals with project coordination or planning experience.
Successful applicants will be working within the FTTP (Fibre to The Premises) team, that builds and maintains the UK digital network used for phone, broadband and TV services.
Based in the brand new Snowhill, Birmingham facility Open Reach can offer an extensive 3-month training programme giving you the skills to succeed within this role.
Typical responsibilities for a Planning and Design Tech will include:
Plan and design commercially based solutions for orders
Generating survey packs, costings and planning solutions based on the survey pack results
Responding to incoming calls from engineers and contractors to provide real time planning solutions
Calculate extra construction charges and raising estimates
You will have experience in:
Understanding of network planning
Previous experience in coordinating or planning role is ideal
Strong organisational skills
This position will be on a temp to perm basis so during training candidates will need really show what they can do, be committed and always give the best customer experience.
