Our client is a highly respected water treatment/water hygiene company who offer a wide range of water services throughout the UK. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a multi-skilled and self-motivated Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team based in the Bristol area. The successful candidate will ideally have extensive experience in delivering legionella compliance tasks to a varied site base and in line with the ACOP L8 guidelines. Hands on experience in remedial plumbing will be advantageous. Consideration will be given to candidates from Bath, Salisbury, Taunton, Gloucester, Caerphilly and the surrounding areas.
The applicant must come from a good educational, chemical and technical background and must be fully conversant with the ACOP L8 guidelines.
Will have hands on experience delivering water hygiene duties to a varied site base.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Packages.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, water softeners, etc.
Monitoring client's air and water systems and ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers.
Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems.
Interpreting the results and maintaining and installing dosing systems, etc.
Providing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork.
Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients.
Carrying out plumbing work as and when required.
Overall the successful applicant will be commercially focused, flexible and reliable and have the ability to work independently and under pressure and must be prepared to travel to designated sites as per client's requirement.
