Lead Safety Engineer - Product Design for Electronics Engineering projects
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Safety Engineer to take the lead on complex electronics design projects. You will be responsible for Safety, Environmental and Legislative matters and ensuring that product plans will achieve contractual and company requirements.
Key Criteria for the Lead Safety Engineer:
* Good knowledge of Legislation - eg REACH, RoHS and EU directives;
* Working knowledge of industry standards relating to the defence sector such as DEF STAN 00-056, 00-055, 00-051;
* Familiar with POSMS and POEMS
* Ability to deliver training on future Product Safety and Environmental needs
* Awareness of cyber and its affect on safety
* Develop impact case reports for complex systems in accordance with customer, regulatory and legislative expectations.
