Multi Modal Freight Clerk
We are now looking for an Operations Freight Forwarding clerk for a global freight forwarder based in Avonmouth, Bristol. Our client is looking due to expansion and development.
Dealing with all aspects of forwarding, being an effective contributor and leader of the operation within the branch is key to this freight forwarding role.
Handling all aspects of International Multi modal Freight forwarding movements, both Import, Export by Sea, Air and/or Land
Liasing with customers and suppliers to ensure all needs are met within the specified delivery time, creating customs declarations in line with HMRC and current legislation, ensuring COD payments are collected prior to movement of goods, liasing with overseas offices for shipment movements, taking responsibility for monitoring progress and keeping the customer advised of the status. Providing lead information to other offices in the UK where relevant
In order to apply for this role you will have experience in a Multi-Modal Freight Forwarding position with current hands-on experience in Air Import/export and/or sea import/export. Educated to GCSE standard ) with the ability and confidence to deal with difficult customers if the need arises and the ability to consistently meet deadlines in a timely manner
You must also be very customer focused and have excellent customer service skills to apply for this role along with good administration skills. Ability to work under own supervision, reliable and meticulous on the financial aspects of the job.
Package and Benefits
Salary GBP23,000 to GBP27,000
25 days holiday per year plus statutory 8
Contributory pension
Standard hours - Mon-Fri 9-5.30pm, 1 hour for lunch
