Job Description
In this role, the Production Supervisor will be involved in leading one of the following shifts:
- Early - 07:00 - 15:00
- Late - 15:00 - 23:00
- Nights - 23:00 - 07:00
Some key responsibilities include:
- To ensure compliance with company Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, as well as embedding a Safety-First
- To ensure achievement of the Filling and Packing production schedules on time and in full (OTIF).
- To ensure all quality systems and processes are always adhered to.
- To ensure compliance with Company hygiene policies at all times.
- To ensure all manufacturing records and reports are produced in a timely and accurate manner.
- To support and sustain all audits, (including customer defined, external organizations, and internal audits) ensuring prompt resolution of any non-compliance.
- To manage all temporary labour to agreed levels and within legislated guidelines.
- To manage and drive productivity and efficiency increases within area of responsibility. Focus upon throughputs, wastage, direct labour efficiency (FTE) and overhead costs.
The Successful Applicant
- Experience in a fast moving production environment - fmcg/food/cosmetics/pharma
- Supervisory experience or leading a team would be an advantage (but not essential).
- A desire to progress and develop your skills and experience.
- A natural ability to identify improvement items and drive change and continuous improvements.
- Be able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a methodical approach and ability to understand and act on route cause analysis.
