????????????????????Here at Spalding, we have a team of around 540 colleagues. We produce salad, pasta and grain pots for some of the biggest retailers in the UK. Our Spalding site has a restaurant with hot food available to all our colleagues, as well as free parking.
What you'll be doing
Due to internal movement we are looking for a Relief Supervisor for our hygiene team, working Sunday-Tuesday/Sunday-Wednesday on rotation, (Apply online only). You will be responsible for stepping up for the Supervisor during periods of absence and holiday, as well as other ad-hoc cover as requested. You will be capable to working as part of the team, but able to delegate as required. You will be comfortable completing paperwork, escalating any issues where appropriate, and promoting a strong HSE culture.
What we're looking for
FMCG Hygiene experience - this role requires a minimum 2 years hygiene experience, ideally from a chilled food manufacturing environment but other FMCG backgrounds will be considered.
Ability to guide the team - you will promote a right first time approach and ensure that all processes are completed in full.
Attention to detail - you will ensure that all hygiene standards are maintained to the specified level for each area, both in your own work and from the team. You will also need to ensure all equipment is fit for purpose, escalating any wear or damage to other departments where necessary.
Can-do attitude - this is a Relief position, so you will be expected to work as part of the hygiene team when not stepping up. The ability to be hands-on and work as part of the team is vital for this role.
Good level of English & Maths - you will need to complete paperwork clearly, and legibly, ensuring all necessary checks are made and recorded.
COSHH - you will be COSHH trained, as well as holding at least Level 2 Food Hygiene & Level 2 HACCP. Auditing experience would be highly beneficial.
